Small-Bridge

The small-bridge is a Pont crossing the the Seine with Paris, in France, built in 1853.

Geography

It connects the IV {{E}} district, on the level of the island of the city, with the V {{E}} district, between the Quai of Montebello and the Quai Saint-Michel.

History

It with the Middle Ages, in 1185, that the first counterpart is built, then is destroyed in 1196. Between 1394 and 1406, the king Charles VI fact of building a bridge with three arches. Carried by water, it is restored between 1406 and 1416. This last counterpart remains until the 17th century. But it is completely destroyed by the famed ones in 1718, replaced one year later by another wood counterpart always. In 1850 a true stone bridge is built on its site.
