Smagne

The Smagne is a French Rivière which runs in the department of the the Vendée (85). It is an affluent of the Lay out of left bank.

Geography

Smagne is born on the territory from the commune of Bourneau, in the west of the national forest of Mervent-Vouvant, and takes from the start the direction of the west, direction which it will maintain in general and in spite of many meanders until the end of its course. This last proceeds entirely in the department of the the Vendée. It is thrown in the Lay (left bank) with Dissais, a little upstream Mareuil-on-Lay.
