Slovak national party
The Slovak national left (Slovak: Slovenská národná strana , SNS) is a nationalist political party of Slovakia. Founded in December 1989 They claims Slovak historical heritage.
Its three pillars are: Christian, national and social. It is frequently described by its opponents like nationalist, neofascist extremist and , because of its attacks against the Magyars, to the Roms and the homosexual . The economic policy of the party often was described by its opponents as gauchist but however has the characteristics of the center-right.
SNS currently takes part in the coalition government of the party of center center-left Smer. The formation of this coalition had as a result the suspension of Smer of the socialist European party (PES). October 12th 2006, the PES declared that the SNS is " a political party which incites or brings its members to ethnic prejudices or raciaux"
This alliance is not against-nature for the Slovaque S, although nevertheless was badly perceived by the European parties.
