Slope (topography)
A slope is the inclination of a ground. It is measured in degree S or expressed as a percentage (ex: roads with 15%: 15 meters of uneven for 100 meters horizontal) and should not be confused with the Dénivelé, evaluated in Mètre S or the Pendage which applies to the layers of the basement.
The slope can be a natural constraint for the installation of the Men: it can be the theater of crumbling S, Avalanche S or landslides. But it can be also the support of human activities (Alpine skiing), or arranged in Terrasses.
