Slope-of-Lake
Slope-of-Lake is a Municipalité in the regional Municipalité of county of Vaudreuil-Soulanges to the Quebec, located in the administrative area of the Montérégie. Founded in 1832, Slope-of-Lake is located at the accesses of the Fleuve the St. Lawrence.
In 2007, Slope-of-Lake celebrates its 175e birthday. It is the first city where a channel with locks in America was built. In 1982, the Parish and the village of Slope-of-Lake amalgamated to give place to the municipality of Slope-of-Lake.
Municipality of approximately 6.500 citizens, it is equipped with three elementary schools, a vast industrial park and a national historical Place.
Its station is served by the lines Montreal - Ottawa and Montreal Toronto of Via Rail Canada.
Georges-Raoul-Léotale-Guichart-Humbert Saveuse de Beaujeu and Jules Fournier is originating in this municipality.
