Slodtz Michel-angel

Rene-Michel Slodtz known as Michel-Angel Slodtz is a French sculptor born with Paris in 1705 and died in this same city in 1764.

Biography

Brother of Paul-Ambroise Slodtz and Sebastien Slodtz, also sculptors, and regarded as more endowed with the three, it spent seventeen years to Rome where it accepted the nickname of Michel-Angel . He carried out many monuments and the religious works influenced by the Baroque.

With his brother Sebastien Slodtz, he works, about 1750-1760, with the chorus of style baroque, of the church Saint-Merri in Paris.
