Sleuthhounds

the Sleuthhounds (in Greek old Ἰχνευταί , Ikhneutaí ) is the title of a fragmentary Drame satyric of Sophocle.

Argument

This drama was put at the day thanks to the discovery in 1907 of fragments in Egypt. It evokes a Hermes child, making Musique for the first time, and the Satyres listening to it with astonishment. It directly takes again the subject of the '' Homeric Hymne at Hermes ''.

Its date of composition is unknown, but the stylistics criteria and metric make imagine that the drama is undoubtedly former to 440 av. J. - C.
