Sleeper was a group of music Britpop of the the United Kingdom of the years 1990.
Biography
Taken along by the singer/guitarist Louise Wenner, the group was several successes, distributed on the 3 albums studio of the group. Wenner was with Justine Frischmann group Elastica the most famous female figure of the movement Britpop. In 1997, at the exit of their 3rd album, the Britpop movement had eroded, just like the public of the group. Louise Wenner then started a career of novelist.

Anecdotes
- One of their larger individual, " Inbetweener" is known by its clip with Dale Winton, a popular icon coed of the time.
- Another individual headlight of the group is the resumption of the song " Atomic" of Bleached, which was used in the original soundtrack of the film Trainspotting .
- the first name of the group was Surrender Dorothy , which is a reference to the trail of smoke saying to Dorothy to go in the film the Magician of OZ.
- the group was at the origin of the expression " Sleeperbloke" , which refers to the shift of notoriety between Wenner and the other members of the group, often been unaware of, more anonymous and with the background of the life of the group. The term is always used, with that of " Ringo" , by the journalists of the musical press and the musicians to refer to the people whose influence is limited in a group or who shines by his not-charisma. It was known as that Sleeper had had fun of this expression and ironically, had even produced a tee-shirt " Sleeperbloke" who had been well sold.
