Slaven Bilić

Slaven Bilić is a Croatian Football or born the September 11th 1968 with Split.

It took part in particular in the World cup 1998 with the Croatia. He arrived until in semi-final, before being eliminated by the France. Its single feat of arms is to have exaggerated on the gesture of Laurent Blanc, which tried to push back it, thus causing its expulsion and thus its susoension for the final against the Brésil. The French public refused to admit the severity of the decision of the referee of this meeting and reproached Bilić its antijeu. Bilić was thus whistled by the public during all the meeting where the third place disputed and finally gained by Croatia vis-a-vis the Netherlands. In July 2006, it takes the succession of Zlatko Kranjcar with the head of the Croatian national selection and for the Euro 2008 qualifies it. With the last match of the eliminating heats, its team, however already qualified, carries it in Wembley and eliminates the national team from England of the race to the Euro 2008.
