Slander

Slander is a common French, located in the department of the Charente-Maritime and the area Poitou-Charentes.

Geography

History

Slander is an old protesting bastion, like many places of Charente-Maritime. The name of Slander comes from the Celtic word Med which means fertile, abundant.

One discovered in this commune, an underground vault of Roman construction, and several brick wall fragments. The commune was crossed by a military Roman way which led to the camp of Toulon close to Saujon.
