Skull Kid are creature coming from the play The Legend off Zelda: Ocarina off Time, precisely in the Wood lost. It was said that when a Hylien is mislaid in Wood Lost it transforms into Skull Kid, mischievous creature and without face. Skulls Kids do not make evil with Link child, they play even with him. But they wound it when it is in adult form.
In Twilight Princess Skull Kid twice appears in time that half-boss. But he not seeks to face Link but rather has to have fun with him.
The character (Majora' S Mask)
In The Legend off Zelda: Majora' S Mask, the continuation of Ocarina off Time, it has there one Skull Kid, it became malefic because of the Mask of Raised, a mask which transforms any person into being démoniaque and powerful capacity confers to him.
