Skirt-coast
The Skirt-coast is a sport practiced primarily in the north of the France, on sand beaches, consisting in going with water to the diaphragm while making use of a paddle to advance.
History
This discipline was developed in 2005 per Thomas Wallyn - trainer of a club of oar of Dunkirk. It conceived this activity like complement of drive for its oarsmen. After two years of isolated practice, the discipline was démocratisée* and diffused on the area of Dunkirk by association " Opal Skirts-côte".- Of the sport Skirts Coast to the concept of: L to oisir has quatic S portif for T ous, T ous T emps, T oute S aison. Description
The principle of the “longe coast” is simple: to leave in excursion in “full sea”, once water with the size. But then, with what can serve the paddle well? “the Longe east coast with the sea what the ski touring is with the mountain. The paddle is used as catch of support thus facilitating the sequence of the movement of legs in complete immersion. The Pagaie of the type Kayak is used at the same time of motive fluid and support during crossing of waves. In calm weather, the discipline can be practiced either in a light way, or in an intensive way by increasing the speed of sequence of the Jambes movement - paddle. By agitated sea, the movement is accompanied by period of crossing of waves
The basic movement
The movement is carried out the body immersed to the diaphragm; it consists of the simultaneous execution of a movement of leg and a movement of paddle
Legs
That consists of a succession great steps or slit caused by a front déséquilbre
The movement of the paddle
The movement starts with a positioning of the paddle in parallel within the meaning of displacement, the paddle well in height. The hydrant is thus done in front of the body at the time of front imbalance beside the knee of the front leg. Only the blade of the paddle is plunged in water. That Ci is brought back along the body by a conjunction of a movement of pushed hand on the side of the leg ahead and " traction" other. The blade left water before the plan of the body. It is then enough to raise the paddle by carrying out a rotation of the handle to connect the movement on other side.
Sequence of the movements
according to the tide and the direction of the current, the movement will be able to be carried out symmetrical manner (standard movement kayak) or asymmetrical (movement type canoe). The symmetrical movement will be carried out in a general way during the phase of stall (or with rising tide by strong ground wind) a blow of paddle with left, a blow of paddle on the right. The mouverment asymmetrical one will be carried out running in the backLet us note that the technique known as " double appui" is overall more effective because it makes it possible to take of advantage speed while supporting by the feeling of imbalance coordination essential to good realization of gesture. Two blows of paddles on the right for only one on the left. The second on the right will be carried out a little on the left of the left knee compared to the first. Concretely, the immersion of the paddle (first blow) is practically done in front of the left knee, while the immersion of the paddle (second blow) is done a little on the left of the left knee. A light imbalance takes place then, returning the sequence of the movement of faster arm and especially more effective.
the equipment
In addition to the paddle, the equipment is that of any person evolving/moving in seamen circle: - a combination of the type plunged or board with veil - slippers of the type veils or plunged This equipment will be adapted to the temperature of water.
Contributions from the medical point of view
Work in discharge
The practice in Aqueux medium allows a work in Apesanteur and thus a lifting of the articular constraints related to the weight, in particular area Lombaire and lower extremities
Muscular work of reinforcement of the Abdominal box and the muscles of the trunk
indeed there are a synergistic work of the abdominal muscles (musculus rectus abdominis - small and large oblique) and the paravertébraux ones (length thorny dorsal-ear dorsal Iliocostal lumbar-iliocostal) corresponding to lumbar locking and the support of the spinal column, work O how much recommended at the lombalgiques ones.
Dynamic muscular work this time of muscular groups
Such as: depressors of shoulder (large round - small pectoral large round) very recommendé for the periarthritises scapulo-humérales and centring huméral related to the stress - fight against the " effect; tète in the épaules" .
Important work of large dorsal
Called muscle of paraplegic because of a high innervation C6 C7 C8 and of an insertion low thorny iliaque peak of the lumbar crowned vertebrae of the 6 last dorsals and 4 last dimensions finishing by a high insertion in the slide bicipitale - which plays an enormous role in the maintenance of the column.
Circulatory work
Sole of Lejar (arch of the foot): one asks for a frank attack of the heel followed by a course of the flexible step (since as a apesentor) to the toes supporting the venous return returning a feeling of light legs after the meeting.
Work of balance and vestibular due to the current
Mineralizing effect
The sea water and the sea air bring their batches of minéreaux
