Skin (botanical)

The skin recovers the parts air (or immersed in the particular case of the watery plants), in other words, the stems, the derived sheets and bodies (flowers, fruits,…). Between the épidermiques cells can be observed somatic hairs and/or cells. It more often is made of only one sat cells whose external wall is thickened and made more or less impermeable by a cutin deposit which forms the Cuticule. It results from an impregnation of the wall of lipidic substances complex impermeable with water. Waxes can be associated with cutin. The continuity of the skin is stopped that and there by Stomate S. It is a fabric of protection also, in general, it does not contain or few Chloroplaste S.
