The skier or “KListe” springs on a strong slope of which the goal is to reach the highest speed. The sporting payment has as an aim only to ensure the safety and sporting equity.

The best reaches the speed of 250 km/h, with an acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h in less than 6 seconds. The ski speed is the sport not motorized where the bursts of speed are highest after the Parachutisme.

Equipment

The skiers have combinations plasticized and tight with the air, shaped helmets and ailerons fixed at the calves in order to optimize the Aérodynamisme (ailerons prohibited with the shoulders or in the back). The helmet must comprise a nonremovable facial protection as well as a protection with the back.

The size of their Ski S varies between 220 and 240 centi Mètre S length; they are also broader than the traditional skis. The sticks are rather short (1 meter at least) and are folded around the body of the skier for better aérodynamisme.

Track

The ski speed is practiced on very stiff slopes measuring of 400 meters to more Kilomètre length. The number of approved tracks is only of 32 in the world and number of them is in altitude to reduce resistance to the air.

The track is divided into three zones:
