Skhirat

Skhirat (in Arab: rear RTL الصخيرات) is a balneal city of the Morocco located between the capital Rabat, the administrative capital, and Casablanca, the economic capital. The downtown area, rather poor and rural, is separated from the balneal part, very crested, by the highway connecting Rabat to Casablanca.

History

Skhirat was the theater of a Coup d'etat missed against the king Hassan II at the time of her birthday, the July 11th 1971. It was carried out by the Général Medbouh and Mohamed Ababou.
