Skeppsholmen is an island of Stockholm in Sweden. It is connected by bridges to Blasieholmen and Kastellholmen. Its strategic position on the the Baltic at the entry of the town of Stockholm in traditionally made a place privileged for the establishment of military buildings. Nowadays the military presence is very reduced, and Skeppsholmen shelters museums, of which in particular the museum of modern art ( Moderna Museet ), but also a museum of architecture and the museum of be-Asian antiquities ( Östasiatiska Muséet ). On the southern part is af Chapman , one three masts reconverted in Inn of youth ( vandrarhem ).
