The skating rink of Mériadeck is a Patinoire in France located in the town of Bordeaux. The team of Hockey of Bordeaux, the Bordeaux the Gironde Hockey 2000, plays her home matches there.
This site is served by the line tram of Bordeaux: station Police headquarters
With its: 3535 places, it is the larger second skating rink of hockey of France, behind that of Amiens and its: 3800 places.
The main issue of the club with its skating rink lies in the fact that the town of Bordeaux does not have a concert hall and thus uses the skating rink of Mériadeck like such. The players are thus regularly private of ice for the drives and, each year, the French federation of hockey must adapt the calendar according to the dates in concerts. As that is not always possible, the Boxers must sometimes fold back themselves on other skating rinks. For example, for the season 2006-2007, the Of Bordeaux one will have evolved/moved with Blagnac or Anglet.
During the season 2003-2004, the skating rink of Mériadeck had to be closed during all the year in order to carry out long renovation works and of setting to the standards. Blow, the Boxers had the right to evolve/move in a provisional skating rink, located in the district of Bordeaux - Lake. Unfortunately, they had to play there without public, the installation not including/understanding neither Plexiglass, nor platforms.
