Sixth district of the Rhone

The sixth district of the Rhone is one of the 14 French legislative districts which account the department of the the Rhone (69) located in area the Rhone-Alps.

Geographical and demographic description

The sixth district of the Rhone is delimited by the electoral Découpage of the law n°86-1197 of the November 24th 1986 , it gathers the following administrative divisions: Cantons of Villeurbanne Centers, Villeurbanne Northern, Southern Villeurbanne.

According to the general Census of the population in 1999, carried out by the National institute of the Statistics and Economic studies (INSEE), the total population of this district is estimated at 124152 habitants^,.
