Sixth district of the Loire
The sixth district of the Loire is one of the seven French legislative districts which account the department of the the Loire (42) located in area the Rhone-Alps.
Geographical and demographic description
The sixth district of the Loire is delimited by the electoral Découpage of the law n°86-1197 of the November 24th 1986 , it gathers the following administrative divisions:
- Canton of the Belmont-of-the-Loire,
- Canton of Charlieu,
- Canton of Chazelles-on-Lyon,
- Canton of Feurs,
- Canton of Néronde,
- Canton of Perreux,
- Canton of Saint-Symphorien-of-Lay.
According to the general Census of the population in 1999, carried out by INSEE, the total population of this district is estimated at: 88878 inhabitants.
