Sixth II or Xyste II is the 24e Pape of the catholic Église. It succeeds Etienne I {{er}} the August 31st 257.

As from the month of August 258, of drastic measurements are taken against the clergy. Sixth II takes refuge with several Diacre S in a Catacombe in edge of the Voie Appienne. Discovered the August 6th 258 by soldiers he is trailed in front of a Tribunal, then brought back on the place of his capture and decapitated. Four deacons are also carried out.

Before dying, it would have given the Saint Chalice to its holy deacon Laurent of Rome.

It is buried in the Crypte of the Popes of the Catacombe of Saint-Calixte.

Regarded as a Holy and Martyr by the Catholic church, he is celebrated the August 7th.
