Analyzes

Produced camera with the fist in the Valley of Dead the with free recovered films, Six-String Samurai is a film difficult to classify. He reports social facts without being committed (the Cold war), and refers to fields as various as the Rock' roll of the Fifties, films of Samurai, the Fantastique integrated without explanation (Death is a character with whole share) or the secrecies of the American nation (certain characters of film in anti-radiation combination refer to the Zone 51). Chaotic and yet coherent, Six-String Samurai perhaps considered as a film of kind or author so much the style is particular: its realizer prides it to be a visual and sound experiment out of the beaten paths. The scenes are connected with an astonishing direction of the rate/rhythm and hangs visual, breaking the usual weaknesses of action film.

Références in the world of the musique

The Original soundtrack of film is carried out by Brian Tyler with the assistance of the Red Elvises, a Russian rock group which holds its own role in film and takes share with the scenario. One also finds several “doubles”: the character of Death is freely inspired by Slash (guitarist of the Pink Guns'), of which the look is revisited morbid way; as for Buddy, it is the development of Buddy Holly, pioneer of the rock' roll. The fight between the good and the evil is seen transposed in the musical world through these two characters respectively working for the reign of the Rock' roll and the heavy metal.
