Sittang
The Sittang is a river of the Myanmar. It takes its source on the plate Shan, in the south-east of Mandalay, and runs out in direction of the south to the gulf of Martaban. Its length is of 421 kilomètres.
During the Second world war, a violent battle proceeded on the elbow of Sittang between the British and Japanese forces, whereas the latter tried to escape from the ravines of the mountains of Pégou.
