History
In 1787, Aleksandr Andreïevitch Baranov (Alexandre Baranov) founds a station of draft in Archangel where it establishes Russian Serf S and slaves aléoutes; from 1799 to 1804, he is the governor and administrator resident of Russian America and decides to build his capital with Archangel. The fort is destroyed by the Tlingits in 1802. Baranov takes again the places later two years: the island is renamed Sitka and the capital takes the name of New-Archangel. In 1807, the governor resides at the Baranov castle.Internal bonds
