Sitifis
Sitifis (Sétif, Algeria), Colonia Nerviana Augusta Martialis Veteranorum Sitifensium , was, at the time Roman, capital of Maurétanie sitifienne (current Eastern Algérie). The city preserves with difficulty vestiges of the IIIe-Life centuries: ramparts, temple, circus, mausoleum of Scipion, Byzantine fortress. Fortunately the product of the archaeological excavations is preserved and exposed to the archaeological museum of the city.
