Sith

Fictitious species present in the wide universe of the tographic epopee Cinema of Science fiction the Star Wars created by George Lucas, the Sith was primitive beings, related to the Force in a natural way. They lived in a not very complex company and employed a primitive but powerful form Force: the Sith Magic.

Sith are originating in the planet Korriban, of the system bearing the same name. This planet will become later the cradle of the Obscure Côté of the Force.

Sith lived in a peaceful way on planet until the appearance of Jedi renegade, having left the Order for various reasons. The Jedi Noir S were quickly regarded as gods with the eyes of Sith. The outlaws of the Jedi Order became aware of the immense capacity of the new race and used it in order to conquer neighbouring planets to build the Sith Empire there.

Little by little, the races mixed and the differences were not done any more. The race of Sith ends up dying out and the word Sith designates now the users on the obscure side of the Force having followed a Sith formation.

Sith use sabers supplied with synthetic “crystals of sabers”, color of what they adore to see: blood.

History

Towards 25.000 front BY, a group of Jedi obscure, guided by a knight of the name of Xendor was banished republican space by the Jedi Order. Mislaid, wandering in a space which was unknown for them, they derived during a hundred from years. Guided by the Force, they arrived then on a named desert planet Korriban. This planet was inhabited by the members of a species very resembling the human ones: Sith. Using the capacity of the obscure Force, they controlled Sith, of made slaves and named “Lord of Sith” (then thereafter, very short Sith). But they realized gift well quickly that this species had. Indeed, each member was equipped with the natural control of the Force, but which leant on any side, neither clearly, nor obscure. Feeling the benefit that they could draw from this situation, the obscure Jedi managed to corrupt the Sith species and made Masters on the Obscure Side of them. Thereafter, the deposed Jedi and Sith mixed to make only one race and to become the Sith race such as it is known in the Galaxy.

Policy

Sith are organized in an Empire whose leader is the “Black Lord of Sith”. With died of a Black Lord of Sith, another takes its place. Generally, it is about the apprentice of the Lord deceased but it can also be a question of another Sith which would have eliminated its opponents. He is then recognized by the whole of the Sith Lords who will have to obey to him until his death. The tradition wants that the apprentice of the Black Lord kills this one to take his place when it becomes rather powerful. That makes it possible to always preserve most powerful of Sith the post of head. But it is not rare that several applicants dispute the capacity; in this case, the problem is regulated either by a duel with the laser Saber (often with dead), or by the assassination of the rivals by most cheating…

A modification of the Sith policy was carried out one millenium before the battle of Yavin. After a particularly bloody episode having opposed the Old Republic to the Sith Empire (known since then under the name of War of Sith), Sith were decimated by the Jedi Knights. The survivors tore between them, at the same time because of the defeat, being rejected the fault mutually, and of the war of succession under Black Lord of Sith, because the Black Lord had died in the war. They only succeeded in being exterminated, so that there remained one survivor, of the name of Dark Bane. Indicator which the Sith tradition was threatened of disappearance, Bane taken then the resolution which was going to make it possible Sith to restore their power without the knowledge of all, and especially of Jedi themselves: the rule of the Master and the Apprentice. A Master, the Black Lord, does not form that a pupil; this last becomes Black Seigneur with dead of the Master, or after having killed it, and takes in its turn a pupil. Thus there were only two Sith at the same time during thousand years, which ensured discretion and stability the Sith Order.

To honor Hamper and its wisdom, its successors, during their initiation, took a new name, compound, of which the first part was “Dark” ( Darth in original version), title showing the membership of the Sith seigniory, just like the title of Knight for the Jedi order. However this rule of the Master and the Apprentice was put aside at the time of the accession of Palpatine, alias Dark Sidious, under Emperor and of the massacre of the Jedi Knights. The Empire of Sith could thus reappear of its ashes.

Geography

The planet-capital of the Sith Empire is Ziost, but of many worlds are also affiliated in Sith, like the planet Onderon, and its moon Dxun where is it falls from Freedon Nadd, vestige of the last power of Sith, or the planet Korriban, which contain many burials of the Black Lords such Marka Ragnos or Ajunta Pall. The important another planets of the Sith Empire are:

  • Arkania, seat of the Sith Grande Bibliothèque.
  • Ch' hodos, bases of the lord Shar Dakhan.
  • Kalsunor.
  • Khar Delba, bases official and factitious Naga Sadow, like its moon, Khar Shian, bases secret of this last.
  • Malachor V, place of teaching and meditation on the Obscure Side.
  • Rhelg, planet-capital of the lord Ludo Kressh.
Yavin IV, fourth planet of the system Yavin is also impregnated obscure side, Naga Sadow there being established with its faithful Massassi, fleeing the forces of the republic of the empress Téta. 5000 years later, Yavin IV became the refuge of the rebels. With the fall of the empire of Palpatine, Luke Skywalker will establish there the Académie Jedi with an aim of providing for the rebirth of the order.
