History
Secondary lines of the Jura
August 15th, 1924, opening of the section Sirod - Foncine-le-Bas and of the section Sirod - Nozeroy of the line Sirod - Boujailles. May 1st, 1949, removal of the line Sirod - Boujailles.

Castle of Sirod, known as also of Montrichard, located behind the Church. XIV°siècle, renovated with the XVI° in Renaissance style. Registered voter with the Additional Inventory of the Historic buildings: 1997. Successive owners: families of Sirod, Montrichard, Watteville, Monnier, Jacques and Florentin (current owners).
Vestiges of the Unpleasant Castle which overhangs the village. (access by Borough-of-Sirod or by the road: on the right tunnel)
