Siri Gamage , born with Walasmulla, the Sri Lanka, is a Sociologue and Anthropologue sri lankais.

Its university formation in Sociology with “” (1968-72). It obtained M.A. in sociology with (1977-79) and the pH. D in anthropology and sociology with, Australia. Its research concentrated on the social inequality in the mountains Kandya N. Between 1974 and 1986, he taught sociology with the Sri Lanka.

In 1990, it was named lecturer of the multicultural studies with, Armidale, Australia. Since then, its lesson related to the immigrants, the multiculturalism and the intercultural questions. Dr. Gamage is a commentator and an author on questions of difference and ethnic Conflit in Sri Lanka.

He Co-published a book with Ian Bruce Watson entitled Conflict and community in contemporary Sri Lanka (Conflict and the Community in Sri Lanka), in 1999. Its chapter on Sri Lanka is in a book published by manohar, India entitled Crises off State and Nation: South Asian States Between nation-Building and Fragmentation (Crises of state and nation: Asian states of the south enters the construction of the nation and the dissemination) Eds, John Neelsen and Dipak Malik.

Between 1999 and 2002, it undertook research on the immigrants of Sri Lankan and their children in Australia. Details on its texts can be found on Internet site of “International Farming Research Network” (ICRN).

Currently he is an elder lecturer in the school of the development and control professionals, the University of the News England, Armidale. He is married in Lalani and has two children, Chaturi and Chamira Gamage.
