Sireuil is a common French, located in the department of the Charente and the area Poitou-Charentes.

History

In book I, 18 of the Miracles of Martin Saint, Gregoire de Tours evokes a Oratorium Siroialense whose furnace bridge was devoted by Martin saint and where many miracles occur (of which cure of paralytic). Auguste Longnon located this oratory with Sireuil and the assumption appears accepted by all. Later, it became a priory depend on the abbey of the Crown. Its church, Romance of XIIe century, remains encore.
