Sinfonia Amazônica

Sinfonia Amazônica is a Brazilian cartoon film of Anelio Lattini left in 1953.

It is the first feature-length film of animation produced with the Brésil.

Synopsis

The film one pot-is rotted lyric of Indian legends of the north of the Amazonia, evoking the arrival of the animals in the forest or the formation of the river the Amazon. One finds there characters traditional, such as Cobra Large, Jaci, Boto, Jabu, Curupira or Iara, and one notices also the anthropomorphism of fauna and the flora.

Sinfonia Amazônica starts with small documentary on the Lattini studios.

Comment

One sometimes about it evokes the Fantasia of Walt Disney, but whereas this one had many collaborators, Anelio Lattini devoted five years of work baited to this film, practically doing all by itself. The feature-length film does not comprise less than 500.000 drawings.

Hall Erickson, the critic of AllMovieGuide, is shown rather severe with regard to this work that he judges very static, so much so that - according to him - one could speak with difficulty about movie about it.
