Sindbad is the Acronyme of Information system of the remote librarians .

It is about a Service of virtual reference set up by the National library of France, opened in November 2005. A team of 120 people approximately answers by email the questions of the readers. The whole of the system functions with the Logiciel QuestionPoint of OCLC.
