SimulacreS

SimulacreS is a Roleplay created by Pierre Rosenthal.

Published initially on account of author, then at Plays Descartes and finally in the newspaper Casus Belli . It was also published under the title the Fleur of Asiamar in appendix of the Cartoon the one-eyed King of Arno and Jodorowsky (1986, ED. Humanoïdes Associated).

It is about a very simple system, intended to be played quickly, including by beginners, in any universe.

The editions by Jeux Descartes are presented in the shape of a small booklet including/understanding of the rules, the description of a universe and a scenario, the whole in a hard-bound cover which can be used as folding screen. Four universes/scenarios were thus published:

  • Those the depths (1990, of Pierre Lejoyeux, illustration of Jean-Denis Pendanx):
    Fantastic contemporary with the Howard Philips Lovecraft;
  • Old Cyber: 30 minutes in the future (1990, of Pierre Rosenthal and Jean-Pierre Pécau, illustration of Pierre Rosenthal and Emile Gutierrez):
    universe Cyberpunk;
  • Extraordinary Adventures & Infernal Machinations (1990, of Tristan Lhomme and Pierre Rosenthal):
    Steampunk ;
  • Captain Voodoo (1991, of Pierre Rosenthal and Jean-Pierre Pécau, illustration of Roland Barthelemy):
    universe of Flibustier S and magic Voodoo.

The editions by Casus Belli are appeared as a number out of the ordinary, presenting the rules and one or more universe, in particular:

  • SimulacreS (HS1, 1988):
    7 universes/scenarios, Medieval-fantastic, ventures, terror, Space operated, history, television series, and Espionnage;
  • SimulacreS (HS10, 1994):
    4 universes/scenarios, Space operated, Medieval-fantastic, horror and television series;
  • SangDragon (HS11, 1994):
    Medieval-fantastic universe , describing the archipelago of Malienda;
  • Old Cyber: 28 minutes in the future (HS 16, 1995, of Tristan Lhomme, Pierre Rosenthal and Jean-Pierre Pécau, illustrations of Pierre Pivain, Philippe Gauckler (couv), Eric Gutierrez and Eric Puech):
    2nd ED. of Old Cyber .

Many amateurs authors used the rules of Shows to develop their own universe of play. The first play which opened the way to more than one about thirty others is Bernard & Jean. Among the plays amateurs published one can quote most known which are For 1000$ in the sun and Aliénoïd.
