Simple function

A simple function on a unit E is a numerical Fonction which takes only one finished number of values i.e the unit F (E) is finished.

Characterization of the simple functions

The simple functions are the linear combinations of indicatrixes. Indeed, let us suppose that f= \ sum_ {k=1} ^N \ lambda_k 1_ {A_k} , one has f (E) \ subset \ {f= \ sum_ {k=1} ^N1_ {A_k} \ epsilon_k ~~| \ epsilon_k \ in \ {0, 1 \} ^ {\ {1,…, NR \}} \}

Let us suppose that F (E) is finished and note a_1,… a_N the nonnull values of F, one poses A_j=f^ {- 1} (a_j) then the units A_1,…., A_N are 2 to 2 disjoined and there is f= \ sum_ {k=1} ^N \ lambda_k 1_ {A_k}
