Simone Benmussa
Simone Benmussa , Director, Playwright and writer French, born with Tunis in 1931 and deceased with Paris in 2001. It made its studies in Paris: Sciences Po and in the Sorbonne (philosophy). It also has creates " Freshwater" of Virginia Woolf with in particular Eugene Ionesco, Alain Robbe-Grillet, Nathalie Sarraute, Jean-Paul Aron, Joyce Mansour, Viviane Forrester, Alain Jouffroy, Michel Deguy, Florence Delay, Guy Dumur, Tom Bishop, Erika Kralik. This spectacle was creates in Paris with the Theater of the Roundabout for Amnesty International, then was the subject of a round in London, New York and Spoleto. Several studies on the work of Simone Benmussa are currently prepared in the United States and of the seminars devoted to its work take place in the Universities.
Simone Benmussa also carried out a film, Portrait of Nathalie Sarraute , with Juliet Berto and Erika Kralik, presented within the framework of Perspective of the French Cinema to the Cannes festival 1978.
Its personal records are deposited with the National library of France (Department of the Performing arts). The funds contains correspondence, manuscripts, costumes and part of its personal library.
