Simon of Melun

Simon of Melun (1250 - July 11th 1302), Marshal of France, lord of the Magnifying glass and Marcheville, wire of Adam III of Melun and Constancy of Sancerre.

It followed the king Saint Louis in Africa in 1270 with four knight S of his continuation. In 1275, Simon marries Marie of the Room of Viesvy (born in 1255). Under Philippe Bold the, it ordered like MaƮtre Principal rafters in Catalogne and at the time of the Croisade of Aragon of 1285. In reward of his services, the king made him present castle of Montlaur. He is qualified knight and Marshal of France in the sale contract of this castle in 1290. He dies in Belgium with the battles of Courtrai, on July 11th, 1302, also called battles of the gold spurs.
