Simon Simon (the Be worth of Cernay, about 1735 - about 1787) is a Compositeur and Clavecin French ist which was Master of harpsichord of the Children of France and the queen Marie-Antoinette.

Biography

Youth and formation

Simon Simon was born in Vaux from Cernay, close to Rambouillet in 1734 or 1735. At seven years, he is entrusted to an uncle organist of an abbey close to Caen. There, he is noticed by the marchioness of Mézangère, raises of François Couperin, who detects his provisions for the harpsichord. About 1747, it decides to take it along to it in order to teach to him the harpsichord with the assistance of a young violonist, Mr. De Saint-Saire.

Career

Simon Simon publishes three books of parts of harpsichord (1761 and 1770) which are among the last in France with those of Jacques Duphly.

In 1770, it becomes Master of harpsichord of the Queen and the Children of France . Its wife assistance in this task.
