Simmias
Simmias , Thébain philosopher of. It seems to have been, with its compatriot Cébès, disciple of the pythagorician Philolaos of Crotona before becoming that of Socrate, he takes part in the escape bid that Socrate will refuse. According to Diogène Laërce, he would have written, like Plato, of the dialogs socratic.
