The Chambord is an evolution in 1958 of the Simca Versailles. It is the side last with being been driven by an engine V8 with Soupape S (as on the 2.351 cm ³ but this time old Versailles developing 84 ch SAE). The last specimens (with regard to the French production) were past in 1962.

From 1959 to 1966 Simca Chambord was produced with the Brésil, as well as the Marly under the name of Jangada and the Présidence under the name of President . In 1961 Chambord was equipped with a box synchro, in 1964 a more powerful engine was introduced called Tufão . Also in 1964 a stripped version of Chambord was produced under the name of Alvorada . In 1966 was introduced the engine Hemisul with hemispherical cylinder heads redrawn by Chrysler. After 1967, the body was modified until the end of the production in 1968.
