Simargl

Semargl , Simargl or Semargl-Pereplut , is a god or a creature of the Slavic Mythologie whose function is not established. Etymologists would bring it closer to sim (god of the herds) and rgl (god of corn), but it is not confirmed.

Simurgh, also represented like a Griffon with the body of dog, is its counterpart in Persian mythology.

In the Book of Vélès , he is the father of Skif - founder of Skifia (Scythia).
