Sim' hat Study Bureau HaShoëva (Hebrew: Rejoicing instead of the water Drinking) indicates a single ceremony in its kind in the Judaïsme, which was carried out at times of the Temple of Jerusalem at the time of the festival of Soukkot .

One proceeded to it indeed to the Nissoukh HaMayim (נסוךהמים — litt. " payment of the eau") or Ceremony of the Water Drinking. One called upon by this one the divine blessing for the rain " in its temps" , i.e. neither early nor late, in agreement with the Talmud, which consigns that Soukkot is the time of the year during which God judges the world for annual precipitations. The ceremony of the Four species works towards a similar end.

The water of the ceremony was drawn from the basin of Siloam in the Cité of David, and the joy accompanying this ceremony was practically palpable. It is also the source of verse 12: 3d' Isaïe: " You will draw water with joy with the sources of the salut"

Then, each night, of tens of thousands of spectators met in the court external of the Temple to see Sim' hat Study Bureau HaShoëva (Rejoicing instead of the water Drinking), and most pious among the assistance danced and sang praises with God. The dancers carried lit torches, and were accompanied with the sound by toothing-stone, quadrants, cymbals and trumpets of the Lévite S. According to the Mishna of the treaty Soukka, " That which did not see the rejoicing instead of the water drinking forever not seen rejoicings of its vie." Throughout Soukkot, the city of Jerusalem filled up Jewish families which came for the pilgrimage and were found to be delighted and to study the Torah. A Mehitza (partition between the men and the women) was set up on these occasions, perhaps for the first time.

Nowadays, this event is reminded via a gathering where one sings, dance and drinks in a Synagog, a Yeshiva, or another central place of the Jewish life. Coolings are been useful in an adjacent Soukka . Orchestras are often invited. The festivities start at one hour late and can last until advanced hours of the small hour.
