The queen Silvia (born Silvia Sommerlath the December 23rd 1943 with Heidelberg in Germany) is the current queen of Sweden.
Girl of Walther Sommerlath, trading German, and Alice de Toledo, Brazilian. She has three brothers.
After the Second world war, its family leaves to live with the Brésil, but returns to Germany as of 1957.
Silvia is graduate interpreter; she speaks six languages.
Silvia met Charles XVI Gustave of Sweden to Munich, during the Olympic Games of summer of 1972, where she worked as hostess.
Silvia married Charles XVI Gustave the June 19th 1976.
They have three children:
- Victoria, born the July 14th 1977 (princess heiress)
- Carl Philip, born the May 13rd 1979
- Madeleine, born the June 10th 1982
The Silvia queen is member of the honorary Committee of the international Center for missing children and sexually exploited (ICMEC).
