Silvering-the Hermitage

Silvering-the Hermitage is a common French, located in the department of the Drome and the area the Rhone-Alps. Its inhabitants is called the Tainois .

Geography

Hermitage silvering-the is located on left bank of the river the Rhone and faced the Tournon-on-Rhone which is on other bank in the Ardèche. Tain is a chief town of canton.

History

Economy

Administration: the city accommodates a medical center ( Medical Etablissement of Teppe ) which was founded 150 years ago and to date continues to accommodate people epileptics. A psychotherapy private clinic ( the Cherry orchard ) is there also. A Hotel college is also installed in the commune.
Agriculture: the Drome being one of the first French Departments fruit producers, the canton of Silvering benefits from these cultures in particular the fishings, Abricot S and Cerise S. enormous a Groupement d'Interet Economique (GIE) fruit-bearing is established in Tain. The other independent source of income of the city is related to the viticultural activity, since the commune and the canton are very famous for the wines AOC produced on their grounds (Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage).
Agroalimentary: ValRhona a chocolate factory of great fame as well as a factory of meat cutting.
Tourism: The commune having an input/output on the Autoroute A7 (number 13) with its name, many are the transitory tourists to make a halt rest in this city with the sunny climate and a little been windy. Moreover recent construction (1997) of a port on the Rhone allows to accommodate large boats of cruisings very attended by the foreigners.
