Silverchair

Silverchair is a group of Rock Australien. The group left 5 albums studio, Frogstomp , their first opus, with sonorities Grunge, appeared in 1995 whereas they were only 16 years old, follow-up of Freak Show in 1997, Neon Ballroom in 1999, Diorama in 2002 and Young Modern in 2007. They sold more than 6 million albums in the world.

History of the group

The members all of Silverchair are born in 1979 with Newcastle in Australia. The singer/guitarist Daniel Johns and the beater Ben Gillies started to play of the music together at the elementary school and met later at the school their future bass player Chris Joannou. Their first group was called " Elvis" shorts; , to very quickly become " Innocent Criminals" , they played mainly of the resumptions of Led Zeppelin, Deep purple, Black Sabbath, musics which their fathers listened to.

The trio played on several scenes around the area of Hunter valley during their adolescence. They gained in 1994 a national competition of demonstration called Pick me with their song " Tomorrow" , which enabled them to sign a contract with Sony Music and to record their first EP simply named " Tomorrow".

They left in all 7 albums including one best-of and live: Frogstomp in 1995, Freak Show in 1997, Neon Ballroom in 1999, The Best Off Vol.1 (Best-of) in 2000 which put a term at their contract with the label Murmur, Diorama in 2002, Live From Faraway Stables (Live) in 2003 and Young Modern in 2007.
