Silver Star (medal)

The Silver Star (money star) is a Médaille created by act of the Congrès of the the United States of America, of the July 9th 1918 then modified by act the July 25th 1963.

The Silver Star is allotted to a person who, being used for any title in the army of the United States, will have been quoted for bravery in operation against the enemy.

The Silver Star can also be allotted to a person who will have been useful in foreign forces allied committed in an armed conflict in which the the United States of America are not implied.

The degree of necessary bravery to obtain the Silver Star is lower than that required for the Distinguished Service Cross-country race, it must nevertheless be very important.
