Il is called silkworm Tussah in its form caterpillar.

The species was introduced in France by Felix Edouard Guerin-Méneville (1799-1874) in 1855 like the Saturnie of the oak of Japan ( Antheraea yamamai ) and the Bombyx of the ailante ( Samia cynthia ) in order to find a species able to replace the Silkworm reaches Pébrine then.
