He is the author of the Punica , epopee in 17 songs and 12  000 hexameters telling the Second Punic War. The told events go from the oath of Hannibal to the triumph of Scipion at the conclusion of the Bataille of Zama. The style of this epopee follows the model of Virgile and includes/understands some daring turnings, but a language still fully traditional by its clearness. The work swarms with details scholars, geographical in particular.
