Silicon tetrachloride
The tetrachloride of silicon is a chemical compound, of SiCl4 formula.
It is a colorless liquid, relatively volatile.
The silicon tetrachloride is prepared from Silicium and of Dichlore:
At the time of traitment of the Dioxyde of silicon one uses Chlorure of hydrogen, this one can also be used in the synthesis of silicon tetrachloride:
The silicon tetrachloride is a very reactive compound.
In particular it reacts violently with the Eau (contrary to the Carbon tetrachloride)
