Overall picture and history

The Silesian Confederation is (or more exactly, was) a vast interstellar government made up of several systems. It is located at the " in north-ouest" stellar Kingdom of Manticore and with " north-est" Empire andermien.

During all its history, the Confederation was gangrénée by piracy and of the movements secessionists which aimed at separating from a central Silesian government almost impotent.
The regional power in the Confederation was with the hands of the governors of system, of the often corrupted individuals, who facilitated piracy or actively tried to make secession.
The level of violence in the Silesian Confederation was such as hundreds of thousands of deaths were to be put on its account each years.

The Silesian pirates are considered among most brutal and cruel of the human galaxy, not having any reserve about the murder or of the rape of the crews of the captured vessels.

During the first war Harbor-Manticore, the Confederation was a minor face of combat which the Popular republic of Harbor tried to ignite by sending a force of men-of-war of the Popular Navy to tackle the trade of Manticore but by avoiding and protecting the trading vessels Andermiens against piracy. The idea was to heat relationships to the Empire, by adding pressure to Manticore on another face.

Towards the end of `' War off Honor `', the stellar Kingdom of Manticore and Empire andermien, now combined against the Republic of Harbor, decided to put a term at their different concerning the Silesian Confederation by dividing its territory.
Apparently this with take place without combat, all the operation consisted of backhander to the governors of the systems of the Confederation.

A popular nickname for the Silesians is " Silly" (" Sillies" in the plural), whereas those which operate with the confederated government, particularly the navy, are known as a " Confeds".

Foreign relations

With so much of engagements interns, the Confederation was often the prey with the ambitions of the foreign powers.

The Empire andermien considered that the confederation was its back-yard and the next logical target of expansion and thus deployed most of its navy in the Confederation, to protect, seemingly, the trade andermien but makes some to also draw up a first point of anchoring in Silesian space.

With the end of the Confederation, the confederated navy, for the units not having passed with piracy or existing only on paper, was divided between the marines of Manticore and the Empire andermien.
