Signal of Botrange
The Signal of Botrange is the culminating point of the Belgium, of the Walloon region, the High Fagnes, the plate of the the Ardennes like that of the Benelux. Its altitude is of 694 meters. The hillock Baltia, monticule of ground raised in 1923 makes it possible artificially to reach altitude symbolic system of 700 meters. A tower out of stones built in 1934 culminates to 718 Mr. The signal of Botrange became the top of Belgium in 1919 after the arrival of the Wallonia malmédienne during the adhesion of the Cantons of the East to the country. Previously, it was the Baraque Michel which was the highest point.
