The Westfalenstadion was built for the Borussia Dortmund beside the old stage of the club, Rote Erde Stadion, in 1974. It thus accommodates matches of World cup 1974. Renovated for the world cup 2006, this ultramodern stage can accommodate more than 80.000 spectators.
