Sigma Star Saga is a Video game developed by WayForward Technologies and published by Namco on Game Boy Advance in 2005.

Gameplay

The play takes again the principle of the RPG with phases of exploration in 2D, but the principal originality comes from the phases of combat, which are held the made-to-order of a Shoot them up.

Scenario

It there has close 60 years, a species Extraterrestre, Krill, attacked the Ground by surprise, digging a gigantic hole under the Atlantic Ocean. The ecological catastrophe which was followed from there devastated planet, making several million victims. Since, the Land ones prepare with the return of their aggresseurs…

The history starts at the time of a new Krill attack against the Earth. Ian Recker, chief of Sigma Star, a squadron of pilots of elite, after a fashion succeeds in pushing back the attack, but all the remainder of the squadron is decimated. Its superior, the commander Tierney, then proposes to him a secret mission of infiltration at Krill.

Characters

• Ian Recker : Human " capturé" and enlisted by Krill, Recker is actually a double agent charged to collect information on Krill and their research of the ultimate weapon. It was equipped with a Krill parasite, which is used to him as armor while increasing its force and its speed. The parasite also enables him to take the control of the Krill vessels.

• Psyme : Pilot officer Krill, it however was rétrogardée following the recent failure of his attack against the Earth. It since is confined with tasks subordinates and seeks to be avenged for land for the Sigma Star which caused its misfortune by cutting down its vessel… without suspecting that it is about Recker.

• Scarlet : Scienfique human, only surviving of a research station on Ice Planet.
